The Bachelor of Full general Studies degree program is designed for students interested in interdisciplinary educational activity. The degree plan includes a core academic base and allows for flexibility in selecting an area of concentration. Run across below for courses required by specific concentrations: HumanitiesStudents may take courses from whatsoever of the humanities disciplines: English language, Communication Studies, Foreign Languages, History, Philosophy, and Religion. KinesiologyStudents may not apply more than iii one-hr courses towards the Kinesiology Concentration and must have a minimum of three professional person kinesiology courses (9 hours) at LSUA. Political ScienceStudents pursuing the concentration in Political Science will select courses after consultation with the Political Science faculty advisor. Political Science Secondary TeachingStudents who earn the Bachelor of General Studies with the Political Science Secondary Education Concentration volition be able to obtain certification from the Louisiana Section of Education to teach Social Studies at the secondary level. Students pursuing the concentration must complete the following courses: To meet their concentration requirement, students must take 27 hours of political science courses, with at least ix hours at the 3000/4000 level. To meet their enrichment cake requirement, students must accept: ECON 2010, SOCL 2001, PSYC 2060, PSYC 2078, HIST 2055, HIST 2057, and half dozen hours of 3000/4000-level history electives. To encounter their elective requirement, students must take EDCI 2700, EDCI 3040, EDCI 3116, EDCI 3800, EDCI 4044, EDCI 4200, EDCI 4945, and GEOG 1003. To come across their General Education Social Science requirement, students must accept GEOG 1001 and POLI 2051. To meet their Full general Education Humanities requirement, students must take HIST 1001 and HIST 1003. Pre-LawStudents must consummate POLI 2051 and PSYC 2000 to meet their Full general Pedagogy Social Scientific discipline requirement. To meet their Electives requirement, they must take POLI 2056, BLAW 3201, BLAW 3202, nine hours of advanced History electives, 9 hours of avant-garde Political Scientific discipline electives, and three hours of Advanced Free Electives. Enrichment BlocksStudents must select two of the Enrichment Blocks listed beneath and earn twelve hours in each block. These hours cannot include hours in whatsoever subject that would be included in the Expanse of Concentration.
Total Credits: 24ElectivesCourses taken to see General Education requirements or Elective requirements cannot also be used to run across the requirements of an Area of Concentration or an Enrichment Block. The same class cannot be counted in two categories.
